I’m working towards becoming Miss America’s Outstanding Teen. You probably didn’t know that one of the exciting opportunities this organization offers is the chance to raise funds for local children’s hospitals through Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The money I raise will help save children’s lives, and a portion will also go to support the MAOTeen Scholarship Fund. Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals makes sure that donated funds stay local, which means that your donation helps kids and families right here in our community.

I invite you to join me in touching the lives of sick and injured children today, by clicking the "Donate Now" button to make a secure donation.

Thank you so much for your support and for helping me make miracles happen! Please help me reach my goal!!

Tabitha Wilke

Tabitha is a National Junior Honor Society student who has maintained an "A" Honor Roll since Kindergarten.

Her platform is Clothing the Gap; a foundation in which provides clothes to foster children of all ages.  Foster home children lack comfort items that normal children would be able to enjoy like going shopping with their mom.  Her first step was setting up collection boxes at local schools and HEB Grocery Stores. After she collect the donations, she sort them and brought them to the CPS department, South Side CPS, and the Bridge, a local foster shelter. She also partner with the Bexar County Courthouse by Kids’ Court to set up more donation boxes.

As Miss Texas’ Outstanding Teen, she will arrange agreements with local clothing stores to collect their clearance items that will not be sold and arrange them to be donated to Clothing the Gap.  Yearly plans include exciting fundraiser events like bake sales or a 5k marathon to involve the community and promote her mission.

After her year of service, she will leave behind a better state by sharing her platform.  Her message of sharing what you have opens people's eyes to the needs in our community.  Her service will help hundreds of children in foster care by giving them clothing, which gives them a sense of normalcy during a time in their life when nothing is normal.
