Official Preliminary to Miss Texas and Miss America Scholarship Competitions

2019 Bexar County's Outstanding Teen, Kassidy Campos

Kassidy is a junior in High School within the NEISD in San Antonio, Texas.  Proud to be a military “brat” she has traveled quite a lot with her younger brother and family.  Throughout her life growing up, she was involved in her local town pageants as well as cheerleading.  Moving around a lot gave her the passion in creating her platform Bullying Prevention; “Be The Voice Not The Victim”.

Kassidy has received many awards through her moves within her military life.  Awarded Outstanding Behavior and Performance Award, Presidents Award for Educational Excellence; Outstanding Academic Excellence as well as taking on some leadership roles.  She was an assistant coach in t-ball and coach pitch for 2 years.

She became the very first ambassador for The Peyton Heart Project in 2016 and has been a part of their organization since.  The Peyton Heart Project focuses on helping to end bullying, suicide and the stigma surrounding mental health issues.  She is also an ambassador for inspireHER, which helps encourage girls and women across the world by spreading their movement of Love, Hope and Truth, as her co-founder says, it is aimed at reminding her that her life has a purpose and value.  On Kassidys spare time you will find her writing stories and reading.  She has over hundreds of books that have inspired her to write many short stories and one day hoping to publish her first book.  She has been a cheerleader for the past 6 years and just this year took a break to focus on her platform and her new school.

Kassidy plans on promoting her platform around her community and through social media to help spread positivity in hopes to help end the stigma of bullying.  She wants you all to know that you all matter and exist in this world and she will continue to be the voice for herself and help others find theirs.  When she is not busy with school you will find her volunteering her time at schools across her community speaking to children, teens, and adults about her story and her platform.
