2019 Miss Contestant Requirements

Thank you for your interest in competing as a "Miss" for the 2019 competition.  This year we hope to crown a Miss San Antonio and Miss Bexar County.*  In order to compete, you must meet the following requirements.

You must at least eighteen (18) years of age by the State Pageant date and not older than twenty-five (25) on December 31, 2019.

You must be a high school graduate or have a successfully completed G.E.D. by the State Pageant date.

You must be a United States citizen.

You must be a current resident of the state of Texas for at least 6 months.

You must be female, never married, and have never had any children.

You must be a resident in a county within a 100 miles of the Bexar County line in order to compete for the Miss San Antonio title. Counties include: Atascosa, Bandera, Bastrop, Bee, Bell, Bexar, Blanco, Burnet, Cadwell, Colorado, Comal, Dewitt, Dimmit, Duval, Edwards, Fayette, Frio, Gillespie, Goliad, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Hays, Jackson, Jim Wells, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Kinney, La Salle, Lampasas, Lavaca, Lee, Live Oak, Llano, Mason, Maverick, McCulloch, McMullen, Medina, Menard, Nueces, Real, Refugio, San Patrico, Travis, Uvalde, Victoria, Webb, Williamson, Wilson and Zavala.

The Miss Bexar County title is opened to anyone in the state of Texas.

The Miss San Antonio titleholder is required to make over 100 appearances.  Many of these are manditory and will occur during the 10 days of Fiesta San Antonio.  If your schedule will not allow for this consider only competing for the Miss Bexar County title.

You cannot currently hold any other title in any other system.

You must meet the character criteria as set forth by the Miss America Organization.

You must be in excellent health to meet the job requirements.

You must be able to meet the time commitment and job responsibilities as set forth by the Miss San Antonio / Miss Bexar County Organization.

Each contestant must raise a minimum of $100 for the Children's Miracle Network to compete for a MISS Title.

You must be at least 18 years old to submit an application. Anyone under 18 must have parent or legal guardian submit an application for you.


The areas of competition for 2019 will include Interview, Talent, and Evening Wear.  You must have a Platform which is an issue you are personally passionate about.  It may be a women's cause, a political or social issue, or an educational concern.  If you are not already involved in a project, we suggest you research and select a platform of interest to you.

Once your application and paperwork are complete you will receive a pageant information packet via email once the packet has been finalized.

* Available Miss titles depend on the number of Miss contestants.  Three Miss contestants allows for one title.  Six Miss contestants allows for two titles.
