Alamo Prince/Princess

This is a great opportunity for you and your son and/or daughter to familiarize yourselves with the Miss San Antonio Organization, a local franchise operating under the auspices of the Miss Texas and Miss America Organizations.  Young boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 12 are encouraged to participate in the "Alamo Prince/Princess" opportunity offered by the Miss San Antonio Organization.

Each Prince/Princess will have the opportunity to interact with the Miss and Teen contestants throughout the year.  If a contestant invited your son/daughter to participate as his/her "Prince/Princess", then your child will be paired with that contestant during the Pageant.  Every "Alamo Prince/Princess" will be introduced onstage during the pageant.  Also, all of the "Alamo Prince/Princesses" will spend several hours the day of the pageant getting to know one another, practicing, enjoying a pizza party, and having a FANTASTIC time.

The Miss San Antonio and Miss San Antonio's Outstanding Teen Scholarship Pageants will be schedule next year so stay up-to-date with us for more information.  The youngsters will be introduced on stage and will be featured in the evening gown category. In addition to the Pageant, there are other exciting opportunities planned for the Princes/Princesses throughout the year.

A photo of each individual Prince/ Princess will be taken by one of our professional photographers.  The photo will appear in the Program Book.  There is no charge for the photo; however, you can purchase additional copies through the photographer.

The cost for participation in the Alamo Princes/Princesses is $50.00 and includes all of the above items.  Because we can only accommodate 20 boys and girls, participation will be based on a first-come, first-paid basis.  Applications will not be accepted with a "promise-to-pay".  Payment will be accepted by certified check or money order (made out to Miss San Antonio Organization) or cash.  No personal checks will be accepted.  The deadline for all paid entries will be determined at a future date.

Your son/daughter will participate in planned activities throughout the day of the pageant.  Lots of fun surprises are planned!  Each prince/princess will be required to attend all scheduled rehearsals.  After the pageant day rehearsal, he/she may leave and return prior to the beginning of the pageant, if time permits.  The boys are to wear a suit/tux/sports jacket w/bow tie, black pants are required.  The girls are required to wear an all-white (off-white or beige is acceptable), age-appropriate dress.  The length of the dress should reach somewhere between the ankle and the floor.  These suits and dresses can be purchased for a reasonable amount from local department stores, bridal stores, and resale shops.  The princes/princesses will be in their pageant dress attire after intermission.  The boys and girls will view the entire pageant, both during participation or from the audience.

All parents, friends, and relatives must purchase a full price ticket to view the Pageant.  In order to be backstage prior to the evening pageant, parents must have a ticket.  Parents will not be allowed backstage during the Pageant.  The boys and girls will be under adult supervision for the entire evening.

Girls: In addition to the "Alamo Prince/Princess" program, we can provide information for those of you who are interested in participating in the Miss Texas Lone Star Princess Program.  Participation is July 2012 during the Miss Texas Pageant which will be held in Arlington, TX.  There is an additional cost for participation in the Lone Star Princess Program.  Please call Caroline Flores, (210) 865-1300, if you are interested in obtaining details about this program.
